About Heedli
Why Heedli exists.
Heedli was started by a GP who is also a parent of a child with special needs — someone who has sat on both sides of the clinic desk and knows how little of family life fits into a twenty-minute appointment.
The story
The support we wanted ourselves, at 11pm on a school night.
As a GP, you see SEND families in the gaps of a stretched system — bringing three years of hard-won knowledge to appointments that last minutes, carrying the evidence in their heads because nobody gave them anywhere to put it. As a parent, you live the other side: the school emails, the waiting lists, the forms that ask you to summarise your child in boxes.
Heedli is the version of support we wanted ourselves — the one that remembers what was hard last week, doesn't shout, and writes things down in plain English. A place for the slow, ordinary work of holding a family together, so you don't have to carry all of it in your head.
It's for the whole family. Parents and carers get a quiet place to log what's going on and keep the EHCP work moving. Young people get a space of their own, designed with — not just for — them. And we answer every email. Often slowly, always personally.

Privacy is the product
Family data is encrypted, stored in the UK, never sold, and never used for advertising. If a feature can't be built without compromising that, we don't build it.
Built with young people
The Young Person Hub was designed with young people, not just for them — their own space, their own words, with privacy that means something.
No ad model, no noise
No behavioural advertising, no engagement tricks, no shouty streaks. The app should lower the volume of family life, not add to it.
The company
A small UK company, on purpose.
Heedli is made by Praelion Health Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 17209225) and based in Manchester. We're registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, and our privacy practices are built around UK GDPR and family data rights.
Small is deliberate. It means the people who build the app are the same people who read your emails — and the same people accountable for every promise on this page.
